    sunscreen with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. does it protect from UV all day or do you have to reapply for effectiveness?

    usually most dermatologists say that u should reapply it according to the SPF. the lower the SPF, the sooner it will wear off

    for example, a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 should be reapplied every 15 minutes to make sure it is working properly. The lotion should be reapplied even more often than that if u go in water, even if it says waterproof

    I asked a question before about the sun helping het rid of acne:

    But when I notice this I am out in the sun for hours and hours so I use baby sunscreen, but mostly because I have sensitive skin.
    It is SPF 50, and it’s the CopperTone brand.
    Could there be an ingredient in it that helps get rid of my acne marks, like after popping a zit (I know, bad!)?
    Because if it does help I am gonna mix it into my Clean&Clear moisturizer! :D

    I just read on the bottle that it has Vitamin E in it;
    could that be the cause of my skin clearing up a bit when I use it?

    Yes, it is possible. Since I started using that same sunscreen my face has been super clear. It is possible but for some people, like my sister, it gave her a more oily skin.

    I have tried so many brands to date and am looking for one that will not leave a greasy shine on my face! Thanks!

    Like you, I have tried LOTS of sunscreens trying to find the perfect one. I was finally very happy and satisfied with Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25. My favorite thing about it is that it doesn’t leave a pasty white cast on my complexion. The reason for this is that it is very lightly tinted (but with a tint so discreet that it will match/not alter any complexion). It also isn’t at all greasy, and leaves no shine on the face. Try to avoid sunscreens with Avobenzone if you are worried about a greasy look, as this ingredient makes the skin appear very shiny. Clinique City Block uses Titanium Oxide and Zinc Oxide, which provide full spectrum UVA/UVB protecton. It also doesn’t cause my skin to break out, another problem I’ve had with some sunscreens. Anyway, good luck in your search!
